Elaine won the Student Residency Prize in 2013. 

Elaine's imagination was caught by the crow-stepped gables, bringing into focus the ninety degree structure of fourness when seen, or perceived, in two dimensions.

‘This was a lovely return to working with ink and inkwash and overwriting with pen. The use of metal foil was a step closer to working with gold leaf’.
