Cromarty Voices Singing Day

When: Saturday, February 20th 2010, Start Time: 11:00, End Time: 16:00

The Singing Workshops will start up again in the Stables, Cromarty on Saturday February 20th from 11-4pm.

Corrina Hewat, the tutor for the day, is well known on the Scottish music scene as a harp player and singer with her trio (Annie Grace and Karine Polwart). This year, as well as planning a new Unusual Suspects recording, she will be working with another local star, Anna Massie in a vocal trio with Annie Grace – something to watch out for. She is taking a little time out of a busy schedule to come to Cromarty and teach a choice of songs with different levels of harmony, accompanying rhythms, techniques to develop the voice to help the group as well as the individual to flourish.
All songs will be taught by ear so no music reading will be necessary although words and music will be available.
Cost of this day long workshop is £10. Please bring a packed snack lunch. Tea and coffee will be available and booking in advance is highly recommended.
If you've always wanted to sing but lack a little confidence, then this is the workshop for you. This will be the first session this year so make sure of your place by dropping us an email.
