This two-day, 'En Plein Air’/in the studio (weather depending) landscape painting course will give students the opportunity to really understand the versatility of oil paint and will complete a ‘finished' landscape painting over the two days. You will also learn about colour mixing and how to see and fix form while being expressive in your mark making.
The plan is to work outside, however, you will be asked to bring in sketches and photos of a favourite scene and work from these if the weather is not fair with the possibility of getting outside in beautiful Cromarty on the second day.
There will be demonstrations in the use of oil paints and plenty of one-to-one guidance from experienced tutor Anna Wimbledon.
A medium sized primed board and small primed cards will be provided. Participants will be sent a materials list in advance and painting materials can be made available for beginners. Suitable for all abilities.
£130 Includes tea / coffee and a delicious, home-made lunch each day.
