Qigong Seminar

When: Saturday, November 5th 2016 - Sunday, November 6th 2016

At The Stables, Cromarty
With Master Gordon Faulkner

Qigong is a Chinese system of gentle exercise for the benefit of health and this seminar will look at those which are designed to improve the strength of the bones. Often referred to as ‘bone breathing’, these are mental and physical techniques to rejuvenate the marrow, thereby enhancing blood and nourishing qi(energy). Benefits of bone breathing include improving  joint strength and function, improving bone marrow and making strong bones. It is one of the easier skills to learn and gives quick results.

The seminar will be a mixture of theory (looking at bones from both western and eastern perspectives) and practice which will involve simple exercises and meditations. It can all be performed seated so is suitable for anyone with mobility issues and also for complete beginners.

Gordon has been practising Chinese martial arts and medicine for over 40 years and has extensive knowledge on the subject, probably more than anyone else in the West. He has been travelling to China regularly for 20 years to continue to extend his training and knowledge and has forged strong links with the best teachers there.

Anyone interested in attending the seminar or interested in more information on the subject first should contact Janis Gillies at janisgillies@gmail.com or on 07879050273.
