Cromarty Arts Trust is delighted to be reviewing applications for its 2027 Artist Residencies programme, with submissions received from artists across the globe.
Our residency programme offers artists time and space to develop their practice while becoming part of the creative life of Cromarty. This year has attracted a particularly strong and diverse field of applicants, representing a wide range of disciplines, interests and creative approaches.
A panel is currently considering applications, reviewing both artistic portfolios and proposed projects. As part of the application process, artists are invited to outline how they would engage with the local community during their residency, whether through workshops, talks, exhibitions, performances or informal opportunities to share their work and ideas.
The Artist Residencies programme continues to play an important role in bringing new perspectives, skills and cultural exchange to Cromarty. In return, artists benefit from the town’s rich heritage, dramatic landscape and welcoming community, which have inspired generations of creative practitioners.
We look forward to announcing the successful applicants next month and welcoming a new cohort of artists to Cromarty in 2027.
