Participants will bring their own commercial sewing pattern and fabric choice, allowing the workshop to be shaped around individual interests, styles and skill levels. Guidance will be available before the course to help participants select a suitable pattern and fabric combination.

This workshop is suitable for participants with a basic understanding of how to use a sewing machine. Whether you are making a dress, shirt, skirt, trousers or another garment, teaching will be adapted to support your individual project and skill development.

All basic sewing tools and equipment will be provided, although participants are welcome to bring their own sewing kits if preferred. Participants should bring their chosen sewing pattern, fabric and matching thread. A selection of haberdashery including buttons, zips, elastic, interfacing and tracing paper may also be available during the workshop.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own sewing machine so they can become more confident using it independently at home.
