Captivating songwriting and fiery tunes, combining mandolin, fiddle, guitar and banjo with powerful three-part harmonies – the unmistakable sound of The Shackleton Trio brings to life the stories of their native East Anglia and beyond.

Having celebrated their 10-year anniversary in 2025, the trio continues to tour a brand new album, building on a decade of music-making together. The band features Georgia Shackleton (fiddle, vocals), Aaren Bennett (guitar) and Nic Zuppardi (mandolin, banjo). Drawing influence from British, American and Scandinavian folk traditions, they blend transatlantic energy with a deep-rooted connection to home. Georgia’s flair for uncovering largely unsung material from East Anglia keeps the band firmly anchored in their local tradition.

Over more than a decade of performing together, the band has been featured on BBC Radio 2, Radio 3 and Radio 4, BBC 6 Music, RTÉ Radio 1 and BBC Countryfile, alongside a wealth of press coverage including ★★★★★ reviews. Highlights include an appearance on the prestigious main stage at Cambridge Folk Festival, performances at major UK and European festivals, international touring, and many miles travelled in the trusty Mondeo.
