Step away from the distractions of daily life and immerse yourself in a week of focused creativity at our Tutored Writing Retreat in the beautiful Highland town of Cromarty.

Led by writer, editor and literary translator Eleanor Updegraff, this residential retreat offers dedicated time and space to make meaningful progress on your writing project, whether you are working on a novel, memoir, non fiction book, collection of essays or another long form piece.

Alongside daily writing workshops and optional group activities, participants will benefit from a one to one tutorial with Eleanor, providing personalised feedback and guidance on their work. The programme also includes a guided historical walk through Cromarty with local historian David Alston, a guest author event, a private cinema screening and plenty of uninterrupted writing time.

With accommodation, home cooked meals and a supportive community of fellow writers all included, this retreat is designed to help you reconnect with your writing, develop your ideas and leave with renewed confidence and momentum.
