STONE LETTER CARVING

A 6-day workshop with master craftsman ROBBIE SCHNEIDER

October 3rd to 8th 2016.     The Stables, Cromarty.

This workshop is fully booked for 2016, but will be repeated in 2017.

Each day will run from 9.30am to 5pm. All tools are provided as well as a slab of stone to work on during the workshop. Lunch is included in the price of £495. Participants may purchase their piece of stone at the end of the course.  Please contact us to book a place on the workshop or for more information about accommodation at the Old Brewery if required.

Robbie Schneider studied sculpture at Camberwell and Byam Shaw Art Schools in London and later trained in lettering with a wide variety of teachers. He is a full member of Letter Exchange and of the Scottish Lettercutters Association. Robbie exhibits widely and has done many public and private commissions. His work can be found throughout Britain, from Kent in the South to Shetland in the far north. Robbie’s work is primarily in stone but he also works in wood, sheet metal, cast bronze and other materials.
