The Poozies have been an institution on the British folk scene since they formed in 1997, and a recent line-up change in 2016 brought together founding member Mary Macmaster and long-term cohort Eilidh Shaw with Orkney’s Sarah McFadyen and Tia Files from Oban. The result has been hailed as the best incarnation yet, with bluesy songs rounding out riffy, unpredictably exciting tunes. In 2018 they released their latest album and look set to be a tour de force for some time to come.
