Shona Maclean - Writing your way out of history with a plot in your hand

Shona (S.G.) MacLean was born in Inverness and brought up in the Highlands, where her parents were hoteliers. After Dingwall Academy, she gained an M.A. and Ph.D.  in History from Aberdeen University. She is the author of both The Alexander Seaton and The Damian Seeker series of historical crime fiction, for which she has twice won the CWA Historical Dagger. She will be talking about her latest novel, the standalone Bookseller of Inverness.

Spotlight author - Michael Elliott

Sharing this event with Shona is Portnockie based author Michael Elliott. Michael came to writing later in life and after a career change from the 9-5 routine, he became a celebrant and now an author. His latest book Killing Shadows, the third in a triology, will be published in April.
