Adam Holmes is one of the brightest rising stars on the UK roots music scene, he combines masterful songwriting and a mellifluous, enchanting voice, mixing traditional and contemporary folk with his own brand of soul and Americana.

Adam launched his latest album HOPE PARK at the 2023 Celtic Connections Festival. "This is an opportunity to catch an artist, already loved in the UK roots music circles, ahead of his impending ascent into the wider consciousness." Celtic Connections

Adam’s four albums ... Heirs and Graces, Brighter Still, Midnight Milk and Dreamweaver ... have cast an impressively bright beam of light across the UK's modern eclectic folk scene and gained him Scottish Album of the Year Nominations (in 2014, 2017 and 2018) and BBC Radio 2 Folk Award Nominations. His songs have  featured widely on BBC Radio 2 and Radio 3, BBC Scotland, BBC Scotland Quay Sessions show (Edith Bowman) and Virgin Radio, amongst many others.

From the semi finals of the BBC Young Traditional Musician of the Year 2009, Adam was Best Newcomer at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards in 2011 and was further nominated for Best Up and Coming Artist at the 2013 Scots Trad Music Awards. He crafts lyrics that resonate like old folk songs, set to melodies rooted in the haunting slow airs and church hymns that echoed throughout his childhood.
