Now FULLY BOOKED! This class was previously advertised for 28th March but has now shifted to 2nd May. This workshop will introduce you to willow as a structural material. We will practice a range of techniques that will enable you to approach your own projects with more confidence as we progress through the construction of a least one tension tray. The tutor, Georgia Crook, will also provide you with useful tips and tricks to get even better results whilst you use the basic techniques. By the end of the workshop you will have a much better idea of the scope of willow and be the proud owner of your first piece of basketmaking! Georgia will also be running a two-day Basketmaking Workshop in June - suitable for those that have completed this day to progress their new skills to more ambitious projects, as well as complete beginners. £65 Includes tea / coffee and all materials. Learn how to raise a cup from sheet metal using various hand tools and traditional silversmithing techniques. This three-day course taught by experienced contemporary silversmith, Ndidi Ekubia, will help you to explore, design and make a metal cup out of copper or silver. This interactive course will engage and inspire. You can choose to work in copper alone or to start in copper and move onto silver. £315 - work in copper £415 - work in silver Price includes all materials and delicious, home-made lunches each day.
